Midi

Aquitaine

Aquitaine is the land of the Cathers and Richard the Lionheart and has a wealth of monuments and historic towns. It also has a wide variety of scenery and cruising opportunities. In addition to the Canal lateral a la Garonne, the extension of the Midi, you have the rivers Baïse and Lot. Along the canal are Montauban and Moissac with its 11th century abbey, the Baïse runs through lush countryside and passes the ancient towns of Nerac Vianne & Lavardac, while the Lot offers spectacular scenery and the chance to visit Castlemoron with its half-timbered houses. The fine wines and regional cuisine added to its rich history make it a region to discover.
